OEG Blocking/Strapping is commonly used as bracing for studs with depths greater than 6". The bracing prevents stud rotation and minor axis buckling under wind and axial loads. It is also effective where knockouts are not aligned. Blocking/Strapping is field cut to suit the requirements.
